Installation Zorin 18, Nvidia 5090

Okay same issue as before black screen the check was quick unlike before. Im going to try to keep messing with it but idk if im going to get much further than just the base install with generic graphics. I appreciate your help but i dont think theres much of a fix for this i will try to roll back to 17 and see if i can do anything there.

Since I didn't see it mentioned here previously, the OP may suffer problems, running an Nvidia GPU with Wayland. The biggest difference between OS 17 & 18, is that 18 boots using Wayland as default, which doesn't work with Nvidia systems very well.

When at the login screen, click on your username. Now a gear icon appears. Click the gear :gear: icon, then choose Zorin OS Desktop.

Also, though the 5090 GPU is bleeding edge, the 580 driver is the minimum requirement to utilizing the 5000 series GPU's, so it should work just fine as previously reported.
