Installing mint-tools on Zorin 17

I try to find out if it is possible to make Zorin 17 a little bit more than Zorin 18 (for those who are still on Zorin 17 and like some fuctions of Zorin 18) and I came across mint-tools.

I added the ppa:kelebek333/mint-tools
and installed "webapp-manager" and "gnome-online-accounts-gtk".

Is it safe to use this ppa in Zorin? Can one keep it at sources to get updates for the apps?
I'm not sure because I got an error during installation of webapp-manager and had to run sudo apt install -f. But both apps are installed now and seem to work.
I'm also testing PaperWM because of this the window is cut.

What you need to remember is Linux Mint uses the Cinnamon DE. I suspect that if you installed Cinnamon DE on Zorin you might not have experienced your installation issues.
MX-Linux and Q4OS can both run Hypnotix.

I noticed that the installation caused a whole series of problems, but I'm not entirely sure whether this was the reason or because I had used sudo apt autoremove (I had tested xfce4 goodies and various xfce plugins and then deleted them again). The terminal reported that I could use the autoremove command.
In any case, Nemo was suddenly gone and I couldn't reinstall it. There were error messages about unmet dependencies of xapp and about held back broken packages and that the problems couldn't be corrected.
So I tried to undo everything. It only worked again when I used sudo apt clean, sudo apt autoremove, sudo apt install -f, and sudo dpkg --configure -a. I hope nothing important is missing now.

Conclusion: I wouldn't add this ppa again...

The Problem with this is that these are Mint Tools. And when they are based on Dependencies with a different Version than on Zorin available, it causes Issues. Another Problem could be when these Dependencies would be updated through this PPA and then the Mint Tools run but You get Problems with Your System because System Programs or additional Software what is based on the Dependencies with the origin Version doesn't run because it isn't installed anymore.

Do you know what to do with these packages?

These are hold-back Packages. Normally they are hold back to avoid Issues with other Packages. When You wait a couple Days, they should be updateable. Alternatively, You can install the Packages with a sudo apt install if You don't want to wait or You don't want no longer wait.

Shall I not delete them? Do I need them? I think something has messed up my package manager. Today I wanted to install lxqt and I got errors with dpkg and the installation failed. There was the option to login into lxqt session but it didn't open. Synaptic says I have a broken package and I tried to repair the dependencies with synaptic but also failed.
Edit: With terminal commands I was able to repair and now no defective packages are shown in synaptic. I removed all packages that contained lxqt and xapp in the name. The hold packages are still there when I try to upgrade.

Do You have removed the mint-tools Repo?

Yes, I have removed it.

I guess, then these are really Updates. Wait a couple Days and see if it will switch and be updateable. Hold-back Packages are not rare or uncommon.

Thank you, then I'm reassured; I've never noticed anything like that before.

I did. Even in the Software UpdaterYou can theoretically see that when You have Packages that are updateable and some who are not. But wait a couple Days and when nothing happens, You can install the Packages manually with sudo apt install and then they will be updated.

I have many Xapps installed.

I looked over the repository and I did not see anything that should cause conflicts. But I am not sure, since I did not inspect all packages.
