As the title states, I want to install said Linux package of my favourite graphics software on ZorinOS 17.3 Pro.
I begin with: How do I install a .package file?

you can't install .package like this, if you want ti install xara you will need to follow the linux section here:
Xara Extreme has been discontinued for years - that package dates to 2009.
It is not in the Universe repository and likely cannot handle Wayland or modern graphics on Zorin OS 17 or 18...
That was where I downloaded the .package files (1785 and 1692). That's why I ask, how do I install a .package file.
I think I will check out Lunacy and Inkscape. Maybe someday I will get a new compie with enough space and RAM for a Windows VM or WinApps or WinBoat. It really sucks that they have decided to NOT continue Linux development. When I asked them about it, the answer was very demotivational on the future hope front.
Last night I installed Xara Designer Pro X11. It starts up, but either it froze or it struggles to get past WINE/Bottles. But at least it went further than the previous time I tried, which was to do nothing. Seem WINE development is on its way there!
