for TPM you can try, Linux doesn't need it
show me your Grub file

I'll show you tomorrow the grub file (already made a shutdown). Thanks for all your help, @Nourpon and @Ponce-De-Leon!

Now I have disabled TPM in BIOS and the boot time showed 30s instead of 40s. Much better.

But somehow I lost internet connection :confused: I can only connect to internet with USB tethering from my phone. There is no network manager applet in my taskbar. Do I have deleted something accidentially? The iwlwifi driver is loaded...

try to enable back TPM to see if its that and if it's the only thing you did

It wasn't TPM's fault. I've since disabled it again, and thankfully the internet is working again.

I have also unmasked the NetworkManager wait service for testing, and the boot time is at 30s on battery (yesterday I tested it with electricity). So that is okay for me. At least it's not any slower than my old Dell now.

for your grub try this

GRUB_DEFAULT=0
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE="hidden"
GRUB_TIMEOUT=0

of course after

sudo update-grub
reboot

I want to display grub menu at boot to select Zorin or Bunsenlabs. The boot time is okay for me now. I have also unmasked the NetworkManager wait service for testing if it helps with the internet, and the boot time is still at 30s. Thank you for helping me! Without displaying grub it may be faster, but in case of errors I like when grub menu is displayed to have easier access.

I understand, of course. from now your loader is faster and just the bios who is slow but 30 seconds is not so bad

These Values doen't look bad. Mine are similar:

They are, but there is something not logical, because my laptop is older and my bios faster, not because of you, but because computer manufacturer didn't optimize it, lazy ,lazy, lazy...

After that, I think you can optimize a little bit userspace.
And for the differnce to be honest, the new uefi bios with their 4K graphical interface, Secure Boot management, TPM, Thunderbolt stack, 47 RGB options are automatically slowest

The whole RGB Stuff is already disabled (not my Cup of Tea and annoys me). I don't use RGB. Secure Boot, Fast Boot and TPM are disabled, too. And my BIOS doesn't have 4K; it doesn't even have HD I think. At least it looks very ... rough, haha!

But I'm fine with it how it is now. I don't have the Impression that it is slow. I press the Power Button and the BIOS Screen comes, then the GRUB, I press Enter and then it is some Seconds and the Login Screen is there.

If it would be 2 or 3 Seconds faster ... I don't care.
