Is Zorin OS "power off" command the same as Windows "shutdown"?

My guess is they are the same, but do I need to ensure that I have every app closed or will Zorin automatically close everything before powering down?
Of course, if they're not the same, please tell me where the shutdown command is found.

Is there a specific Reason why You use a Command and not simply the graphical Way?

A command whether graphical or by terminal is still a command. I was not talking about the terminal. Perhaps I should have called it a "button" or "click"?

If you use the power off button in Zorin, it'll shut down as it's supposed to, don't worry.

Zorin will typically close anything before going to a shutdown. This can lead to sometimes the shutdown taking longer than usual, so I usually just close everything ahead of time. Do note, however, that when Zorin closes out everything on power off, it doesn't save anything (that's still up to you to do  ).

I believe you're talking about mainly the terminology used when clicking the power off button, and yes it is a shutdown (if you want to verify, send us a screenshot of exactly what you're talking about, but I assume you're clicking the power down button then the prompt comes up asking if you'd like to shutdown)

I have a modern notebook computer, that uses NVME drives. When I click the power off button...

It only takes 2-seconds, and it leaves the GUI, and computer is fully off in about 4-seconds. Which yes, that means its faster then any Windows system, I've ever experienced. Thats cause Zorin OS, is not loaded in bloat.

I think there is a difference to be noted between Windows Shutdown (i.e. default with "Fast Start-up" enabled) and Zorin power off, in that Windows shutdown goes into a semi-hibernate mode to enable quicker subsequent startup.
ZorinOS power off is like Windows shutdown with "Fast Start-up" disabled i.e. full apps and operating system closure shutdown.

Thanks. I didn't know that about Windows shutdown.
