Issues with my graphics card in the last few days

You said "Doesn't work" without trying the steps.

I posted a link that tells you how to do it - in detail:

Now, when you do not ask about how to do something and then say, "That did not work," I would believe you tried that I would then try something else that is less likely to help but possible, because I was led to believe that the most likely does not work thinking you had tested it.

Please Respect the Troubleshooters and Our Time.

I agree, clearly RAM and additional software is not the issue.
That is mysterious why the mouse would show an odd 30ms delay... But that may be a flash in the pan. Unless it did that constantly, I suspect it not to be the sole cause of stuttering, much less able to cause a crash.

The Nvidia 4070, however... needs addressing by its maker: Nvidia.
It has known issues, some stemming from its Ada Lovelace architecture.

  • Display Issues: Flickering screens or black screens, especially on high refresh rate monitors.
  • Performance Degradation: Suboptimal performance with some games or applications due to poorly optimized drivers.
  • Fan Behavior: Complaints about unusual fan curves or coil whine, especially under low loads.
  • Hybrid Graphics Problems: In laptops with the RTX 4070 (e.g., Optimus setups), issues with GPU switching are more frequent on Linux.

I have not found anything specific between DRM and Nvidia 4070 at this time. But given its rendering issues, and that you have a specific error for Direct Rendering Manager (DRM), I would test the nvidia-drm.modeset=0 parameter.
