Kernal 6.17(?)and Arrow Lake Processors

My guess is the answer is no to this, but I am hoping there is some kind of information about whether or not Zorin 18 will support Arrow Lake and Snapdragon processors. There should be a list of which processors and WiFi will work with it. I love the operating system, but it wont work on any newer technology and I find that interesting given the way technology is going right now.

Has anyone successfully installed and run Zorin 17 on Arrow Lake processor?

Can't locate any wifi drivers with the possibility of WiFi 7
And other things are off that are just fine on older computers and hardware.

Thank you.

SnapDragon is ARM architecture. So, this really becomes a question of ARM support, not newness.

The driver support for hardware is dependent on the Linux Kernel team and they are beholden to driver provision from the manufacturers.
In this regard:

This one is newness. Getting support on Wifi 7 is more difficult, even with the latest kernel.

Welcome to the Forum!

That are ARM Processors. For this, You need ARM Support. Debian has that if I remeber correctly. And I saw that Ubuntu 25.04 offers an ARM 64bit Download, too.

You could put the Zorin 18 Beta on an USB Stick and start it in the Try Mode to see if it runs with the 6.14 Kernel.

That could be the most difficult Thing. I'm not sure if even the new 6.17 Kernel offers Wifi7 Support.
