I just had a bug with KolourPaint in Wayland folowing an update of Zorin today 2026-09-26. Brave Leo AI figured it couldn't properly open the save dialog box when icons were displayed in the tool menu. It would however be able to save properly when the icons were not displayed, replaced by text descriptions.
My problem was temporarily solved by opening KolourPaint in xcb (?) by modifying its Exec line in the app launcher file to : Exec=env QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb kolourpaint %F
Leo AI said similar problems with other apps in Wayland could be solved that way.

I was wondering if it has anything to do with Canonical's migration to Webkit 2.4.1:
Welcome to the Forum!
Is the Program installed as Flatpak or APT Package?
save dialogs on wayland still get weird on some qt apps for me after the recent portal bits
if its apt:
-copy /usr/share/applications/org.kde.kolourpaint.desktop to ~/.local/share/applications/
-set Exec=env QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb kolourpaint %U
-update-desktop-database ~/.local/share/applications/
if its flatpak:
-flatpak override --user --env=QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb org.kde.kolourpaint
