I was backing up some Blu Ray discs. I restarted the computer and now it won't boot the main desktop. It shows the following:
BusyBox v1.36.1 (Ubuntu 1:1.36.1-ubuntu3.1) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands
(initramfs)

If you type
exit
at that prompt, does it relay the error message?
you can try to run this command:
fsck /dev/sda2
Yes, it shows that your file system contains errors and says to check with the forced flag, running fsck (File System Check) manually.
Nourpon's suggestions is the right move:
To do this, I recommend ensuring the drive is UNMOUNTED during the process. You never want to run fsck on a mounted drive.
If you can access the Grub Menu, then select Advanced Options for Zorin - there is an fsck option in the Advanced Options Menu you can use that runs prior to mounting the drive.
Or, you can use a LiveUSB to boot from, then run fsck on the unmounted drive.
Arggg ! I always forget this grub option, thank you ![]()
