Latest Zorin 18 update, now Brave doesn't open

Today, I installed the offered updates and now I can't open the Brave browser. Everything was OK yesterday. Is it possible to uninstall updates? Thanks for your help.

Try to switch to Xorg at login. Logout and at login click on your username, then a cog wheal appears at the bottom right corner. There select "Zorin Desktop on Xorg".
You can also try to start Brave browser with disabled hardware acceleration from terminal

brave-browser --disable-gpu

If it helps to launch the browser you can disable hardware acceleration in your browser settings.

Thanks for the help. Switching to Xorg did it, and it also made Zorin much faster. Everything is now instantaneous. I knew this helps older graphics in computers, but I build my own computers and have the latest Nvidia.

If you have modern hardware, it seems strange the performance would be noticeably better.

What Nvidia drivers are you using?

Yes, that surprised me too, but it's night and day. I installed Zorin 18 clean and I'm using the Zorin defaults, I believe 580.95.05

You need to remember Wayland is AMD favoured, xorg favours nvidia. (As outlined by Nick, thelinuxexperiment.)

I can remember't' days before AMD it were ATi. When in the land of Windows it was interesting to know that a friend had nothing but issues with nVidia and always bought ATi. I've never had an issue, but when Zorin 15 came out my GT720 would not work at all and same with Ubuntu it was based on which I only tested to see if it was a Zorin issue and it wasn't so seeking advice I am still using a Zotac GT1030. In my hardware archive I have a Creative CT32, a 3dFx Voodoo TV card!

One more thing that may be important. When the problems with the browser appeared, I was using Secure Boot in the BIOS. Today I turned it off and tried Wayland, and everything was just as good as with X11. I'll do it that way in the future, and if anything goes wrong or is not as good, I will post again. Thanks to everybody.

Today I again couldn´t open Brave because of Wayland. I'm staying on X11.
