Libre Office Toolbar Icon Size Too Small... Can't change?

Everywhere I search tells me to open the program (e.g. Libre Writer) and go to Options->Libre Office->View and change the icon size, including where all the search engines and websites tell me to go). Has anyone done this sucessfully? Note I'm evaluating Zorin vs. Mint, and while I find Zorin SLIGHTLY easier to use, I find mint FAR more customizable (including Libre Office toolbar icon size).

Any Help would be appreciated.

The only Thing what I found was in Extras>Options>Appearance:

But there, You only can set up like ''Big'', ''Small'', ''Automatic''.

I tried to change the icons to large, but it didn't made a big difference. Then I installed the galaxy icons, with them the icons were a little bit thicker.

I found no other settings in Linux Mint than in Zorin to change that icons. Where do you make the icons of Libre Office big in Linux Mint?

Thanks, I found the settings. Unfortunately, it made NO difference. Icons are still the same size at small, medium or large.

Same place but in Linux in it ACTUALLY makes a difference.

arashi.

Where do you find and how do you install the galaxy icons?

Thanks

I clicked there where you select the icon theme on the right side on the icon to select and install other icon themes and selected galaxy (in Ponce-De-Leon's screenshot, the yellow puzzle icon).

Some icon themes have "extra large" as a size. For example:

You can just add the Mint Cinnamon DE to Zorin to make Zorin more customizable that's what I do .... I dual boot Mint/Zorin and have Cinnamon DE on both OS's .... there is a post on here some where explaining how to do it .... I believe Aravisian posted it ....

why don't you try the wps office, the chinese office program, good for linux.

I will post it here since it is not a lengthy guide:

sudo apt install cinnamon-core cinnamon

OR if you want the full Desktop with all the trimmings (stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce):

sudo apt install cinnamon-desktop-environment

I don't install Chinese software. I did install OnlyOffice, and I have to say I like it much better. Work flow more similar to MS office, and the icons are nice and big.

I may install it on my 2 Cinnamon Mint systems too. So far I have to say I think I like Mint better. Not all of the customizations I made on Zorin take effect throughout the entire OS. I installed free MacOS themes, and they install flawlessly on Mint. Not all of the correct window controls work on Zorin - they're in the right place (because I changed that setting), but they are not red, yellow and green (they are in 3rd party applications, but not any windows within the Zorin OS itself.). I'm guessing they're suppressing them trying to get you to buy their paid version.

My Zorin system is a PC. I installed Mint on my i9 Macbook Pro's because there is a T2 compatible Mint distro. So I don't have plug in an external keyboard and mouse and then manually install drivers.

Maybe I'll convert this system to mint also. I'll give it another month or 2.

Do you use the mac themes of Vinceliuice? Did you run the installer script with the -l or -l -c light (l=small L=libadwaita) option? You can also create an empty texdocument, name it .libadwaita and put it into the gtk-4.0 folder of your used mac gtk theme.

And no, that is not related to Zorin Core or Pro. Linux Mint has adapted libadwaita and created libadapta.

There is no configuration file nor any coding in Zorin OS that suppresses any customization, software or themes in order to push the Zorin OS Pro purchase.

There could, however, be a quirk in Zorin OS that is resulting in themes not fully working or being incomplete.
This is more likely to do with Gnome, GTK4 and LibAdwaita - not any direct actions by the ZorinGroup.

Yes and Yes. See attached for the inconsistency. Works fine in Mint. The Only office Close, Minimize and Maximize icons are correct. The File explorer window behind it is not (and yes it's not when it's in focus too).

The Theming, You should adress Gnome for. This can be ... difficult. You should take a Look at @Forpli's Post:

And could You name the Theme You use?

Yes his White Sur Dark theme.

On Mint, you would be on X11.
But Zorin OS defaults to Wayland.
Why a stable LTS distro jumps to Experimental Wayland... I do not know...

Looking into this, I just saw several reports that Wayland blocks scaling for LibreOffice.
So you can set Extra Large - but the signal never reaches the Office app.

You can try switching to X11
Or test by launching from terminal:

SAL_FORCEDPI=150 libreoffice --writer

"SAL_FORCEDPI=150 libreoffice --writer"
Works great! is there a way to create start menu icon that does this?

When I ran install I didn't choose any flags. What do you suggest?

Thanks
