I have LocalSend version 1.17.0 on Zorin, and this is also stated as the latest version on the LocalSend website. I cannot therefore update this to a later version using Software Updater. The version installed on my iPhone is 1.17.1 which was presumably installed on a recent iPhone update. I cannot find this version anywhere online, and I cannot find a way to roll back the version to 1.17.0 on the phone. As a result, LocalSend will not work.
You could uninstall it from Your Phone first and then look in the App Store for it and what Version it offers. On the Github Page are Packages for download, too but I only see Android Packages there ...
Thank you. I did as you suggest, and the version they offer is 1.17.1. There is a list of older versions (including 1.17.0) but no way to roll-back as far as I can see.
Is this in the App Store from the same Developer like the one You use on Zorin?
I am afraid that it’s not possible to roll back to previous version on the iOS Apple App store. You can only get the latest version…
Yes - I discovered this. Bit of a pain really!
Yes, from the same developer. I've left a query on GitHub and also sent the developer an email so maybe I'll get some joy eventually!
LocalSend suddenly seems to be working again! It is still version 1.17.1 (59) on the iPhone and 1.17.0 (58) on Linux laptop. There was an iPhone update last night but LocalSend is the same - maybe something else changed under the bonnet that enabled it to work again. Most mysterious. Anyway, I shall enjoy it while it lasts! Thanks guys.
