I am unable to login in my user name.
After typing ctrl+alt+f3.and entering login information.And trying to run ls -lah|grep -i Xauthority
Giving error
Command ls is available in the following places.
What to do?
There are several things that can lead to a loginloop.
- Did you enable the Automatic Login Option?
- Are you using an Nvidia GPU?
If the answer to the above is "no", start with the below.
I would recommend using terminal from the Recovery Menu rather than TTY.
In the recovery menu, first enable Networking.
Once that is done, arrow down to Root - drop to prompt.
From there, run (Since you are a Core User):
sudo apt install --reinstall zorin-os-desktop gdm3
Follow any prompts to configure GDM3...
Then run
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
