A while back I did a very brief run of making EA app work through Heroic (not lutris). If Lutris is giving you some issues, it might be worth a try at least.
Keep in mind this was on Zorin Lite, but the steps should be the same regardless. I stopped using Lutris a while back as I kept regularly having issues from time to time.
