Has anyone had any success with a 2015 MacBook 8,1 running Zorin?
did you try installing zorin 18 lite or core?

You can try to run a live session with Zorin install medium and you will se if all is OK for you.
I know that some people install it on the same MacBook without problem

I have not as yet tried an install, merely asking around for thoughts.
I did try earlier Ubuntu (s) and Mint.
I remember lack of drivers on keyboard/mouse being a problem.
I shall try again with Zorin 18 Core.
if core has stability issues then try with the lite version
Nothing to do with stability...
The MacBook hardware required specific drivers (proprietary)which were as yet (up until c 2023) unavailable in the Linux kernel.
As said I will have another try with Zorin 18 and post my findings.

Tried this with same results as before.
No keyboard, mouse available even now 10 years on.
Seems unlikely this series of Macbooks will ever be running native linux.
