type the programs I provided you in the terminal.
yes I ran those commands and its all up-to-date
and the WiFi adapter is working?
yes, I can see the SSID but can't connect to it
use these codes
sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source
sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer
and check
I ran the commands and I get the same issue, I also tried to reinstall the network-manager with
sudo apt-get install --reinstall network-manager
but that didn't help
What's confusing me is, I can connect to my iPhones hotspot wifi network, but can't connect to my home network, and I also run Zorin Pro on another device and it has no issues connecting to home network
confirm if your hardware was detected by this code:-
lspci -vvnn | grep -A 9 Network
if yes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get --reinstall install bcmwl-kernel-source
sudo modprobe -r b43 ssb wl brcmfmac brcmsmac bcma
sudo modprobe wl
HP laptop's is made for windows / linux
Mac are only made for Mac
running those commands got rid of my wifi tab
run all of them
I ran all of them
Well that was not supposed to happen!
the codes are for reinstalling
Use:-
sudo apt install bcmwl-kernel-source
sudo modprobe -r wl
sudo modprobe wl
I ran the these commands and nothing changed
I ran
sudo apt-get remove bcmwl-kernel-source
and it gave me back my wifi tab
WiFi is it working
no I'm having the same issue where I can't connect to my home wifi
Then I suppose the mac adapters are not compatible.
You can buy an ethernet cable from your wifi access point to your mac or just simple switch back to mac OS or redhat linux.
I have seen a lot of problems for linux users on mac (most of them cannot be solved without hardware manipulation) and it is best to keep your mac working with its original OS.
I guess so, apple dose a good job locking up there hardware
RedHat Linux works with apple devices?
Generally Mac User's use Virtual Machines, But I do not have much Idea about replacing Macintosh entirely with linux. I am more into hardware made for linux.
You should read the reviews for mac redhat.
