Merging issue

Hi,Today i was about to merge the unallocated space with my new volume f with the help of gparted but it is not working properly

What exactly You wanted do? I see in the Background on the Partition Table that there are Key Symbols on sda1 and sda6. Do You use GParted on Your installed Zorin? If yes, that doesn't work. You would have to use the Zorin Bootstick, start it and go in Live Mode. Look there for GParted and then make what You want to make.

Also: On the Screen, You have a little Triangle where You can click on to get further Informations:

I just wanted to merge unallocated space with my New volume f drive just like we did it windows to extend the space of that drive

And You did that on Your installed Zorin, yes? If yes: Look at my Comment above. Use GParted in Live Mode from the Boot Stick. Also look at the Triangle if it is still there for further Info's about the Error.

by the way it appear you want to merged space between ext4 en ntfs, and it will never work...

No no i have an unallocated i have completely wipe out windows 10 from that drive and also i want to just merge it with my new volume f drive and what is this can you pls explain this

I can see some key symbols. Is the partition encrypted? or is it mounted? You may have to unmount the Ext4 partition to enable the changes.

unmount your ntfs partition and format it as ext4 if it's empty, but if you want to merge it with your root drive (/) you need to make it offline with live session

here is the thing i want to extend the new volume f one but the above errors are showing while extending the drive

You have booted Zorin normally. Shut down the computer. Then plug in a Zorin Live-USB Stick and boot from the stick, select try Zorin mode and open gparted.

read what I say, I understand what you want but you can't do it if you are not in live session

First: As I already said, You should start the Bootstick with Zorin. If You don't have that anymore, create a new one. Start it, choose ''Try Zorin'' instead of ''Install Zorin'' to get in Live Mode.

And there look for GParted and open it. Then try it again.

But what I see here: sda5 is formatted to ntfs. What kind of Data are on this?
