Moving and "old" windows partition to add to linux partition

I have removed an old windows partition and the space is now unallocated, I want to relocate/move it to then be able to add it to the linux partition.

See screenshot

I have tried with GParted form a live USB.

I am a noob, working with Zorin OS for about a month.

Thank you.

SOLVED, I think.

I decided to take the bull by the horns, I have the original 250GB drive which I clobed onto to a M2 drive and I an working with the M2 drive.

So, i booted from a live USB, opened GParted and moved sdb5 to be before the unallocated space. I then moved the unallocated space to the end of the drive,

I then resizedthe the linux partition to the maximum available, rebooted and it worked to my great relief.

I now have the whole disk available for my Zorin install.

Welcome to the Forum!

You have deleted the windows Partition but the there is still an ntfs Partition (sdb1). Maybe I'm wrong with my Guess here but I think this could be the Windows Recovery Partition.

Thanks, I agree, but i think with it being only 579MB I can ignore it.

If You want, sure. I have marked now Your Post as Solution.
