Whenever I launch new application that has tray icon(like telegram), I can't see its tray until I lock and then unlock for it to appear.
I'm using default zorinos gnome(the 5th layout in zorin appearance) with some tweaked settings to show that application button up there aswell.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
Yes, every now and then notification issues with Gnome-Shell pop up. THe fix varies...
You might try using gnome-tweaks to disable, then re-enable the notifications area extension.
There is no option for it on gnome-tweaks but I fix it by simply reinstalling the os
