Nice <20 error trying to install games in Zorin 17

I just installed Zorin 17 on a computer I use just for gaming. I had 16 on it and it was working with a few command and conquer games, but I didn't use the laptop for a a few years and couldn't remember the password, so I upgraded.

I have been trying to install command and conquer games such as red alert and generals using either lutris or playonlinux, but no matter what I do I keep getting this error about niceness is less than 20 and it can't set priority. I tried running a few commands I found on google that were supposed to fix it but they didn't run in Zorin. I am not very knowledgable in Linux so I really need help. I have tried installed from ISO's as well as having the original game CD's. At one point I had CNC Generals saying it was at 100% but it would never finish and there was a terminal window with that nice error.

Welcome to the Forum!

Could You please post how this Error Message looks exactly? Maybe a Screenshot of it?

wine: RLIMIT_NICE is <= 20, unable to use setpriority

I found a discussion of the error here, but I couldn't get any of the ideas to work- wine: RLIMIT_NICE is <= 20, unable to use setpriority safely · Issue #6141 · ValveSoftware/Proton · GitHub

Can you post the entire error message? Or, is that the only line that shows? You may be able to see more of what is going on if you run Lutris or PlayOnLinux from the command line. It will output messages as the app is run
