Normal shutdown is not possible anymore

Since a few days I use zorin as my work system.
Since yesterday normal shutdown is not possible anymore.
After choosing the shutdown button the system hangs, mouse is gone keyboard no reaction. Desktop still shown.
What happens here?

After reading some threads here I used the following workaround:
I have activated the previous kernel version (Linux 5.11.0-27-generic (x86_64)) in the grub. In addition I have deactivated all power settings. Currently it seems to work.

PS: I had to fix a problem with virtual box: Dkms has to be reinstalled.

Any other ideas?

It looks like you have it figured out. There have been several threads recently regarding DKMS and the most recent Zorin OS Kernel.
