NUMPAD and Combi Numbers doesn´t react

Dear Community,

I could use your help,

The problem is that sometimes the numbers don't work, regardless of whether I use the NUM pad or the number/character combination. As soon as I press several times, a number appears at some point.

Sometimes all numbers except a certain number work.

What could be the reason? I have already cleaned everything

I rule out a hardware error, as it occurs with the NUMPAD and the combination numbers at the same time.

OS: Linux Zorin 17OS (but also occurs in Windows 11)

So you say keyboard problem occurs with both Zorin and Windows, so kind of rules out a ZorinOS setting issue.

Have you checked Num Lock key functions correctly on both those OS?

Are you able to borrow a external USB keyboard and see if same numeric keys problem also occurs with that.

This does not rule out hardware since the tenkey (numpad) and top row share circuitry.

Have you checked for BIOS/ Firmware updates?
If that is up to date, I would think that this is a keyboard issue.
