I installed nvidia 450 proprietary . My laptop got Frozen and having black dots .then I tried other proprietaries , still it same please help

Nvidia GeForce 840 m 4 gb graphics
8 gb ram DDR3 hdd
Have you tried driver 390? Your card may not be supported in the newer drivers.
