Is it possible to open the Arc Menu with the Superkey instead of the Zorin Menu? I have set the left superkey in the arc menu settings, but this has no effect. Then I wanted to try it with the gnome extension "Super key", but I can't find out the command to be entered for launching the arc menu (like when you launch it via terminal). I didn't find the .desktop file and "arcmenu@arcmenu.com" (that is the name in ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions does not work, nor "arcmenu" and "arc-menu".
I tried to disable overlay-key in dconf-editor, but it resets itself to Super_L when logout and login again.
Zorin menu and Arc menu launch at the same time when tapping on superkey, but I can't see the Arc menu because it is behind the Zorin menu, only a small border is visible. And I can't make only Zorin menu invisible on the taskbar as both menus have the same switch "left box".
You have to disable the Zorin Menu in Extension Manager. Then only the ArcMenu Symbol is in the Taskbar. And when the Zorin Menu is disabled, the Key should working. I don't use that to open ArcMenu but I tested it. Whe I active this Toggle:
I can open ArcMenu with the Super Key.
Thank you very much! I'll try this tomorrow.
Unfortunately, this extension is not available for gnome 43, which would make it easier to find (or edit) the .desktop file.
@Ponce-De-Leon By disabling Zorin menu in extension manager super key opens Arc menu, so it works now.
I would still like to try the gnome extension. Do you know what is the command to launch Arc menu via terminal or where the .desktop file is saved?
Because ArcMenu is a Gnome Extension and not a Program (at least not in the Sense of something like Nautilus or Firefox for Example), it doesn't have a .desktop File. To ''start'' ArcMenu, enable it in the Extension Manager and it will be in the Taskbar or in the Top Bar.
Thank you very much, Ponce-De-Leon!
I searched for a reason, why they are not shown everywhere, but didn't find the setting. Now the dots are gone, great!!!
