Open Office runs very slow, takes 1 minute to open documents

When I open a documents with many pages in a format of either Docx or Odt on the lates version of Open Office Writer it takes often 60-90 seconds to open. I have the latest version of Zorin OS.

Previously before upgrading Open Office it worked much faster and took 5-8 seconds to open larger documents with many pages.

What can I do to enable my longer documents in Docx and Odt formats to load faster?

Only to be clear: You mean Apache Open Office, yes?
