I had this same exact thing happen to me - I recall that it was because I had fiddled a setting I shouldn't have...
To restore it back to normal, I removed all Configurations for OpenRGB, then uninstalled it and reinstalled it. It has been working perfectly ever since.
I made it a point to not do that thing I did before with it...
