Pause downloads and installations

Hi. I have a bit of a problem with the internet where I am, so I wondered:

will it be possible to add a pause-option to the Software Store? I am currently trying to get The Ur-Quan Masters HD MegaMod installed, but it's stuck at 68% for more than an hour by now - incidentally, the time of internet rush hour, around here. Btw, why is it called "rush hour" when everything is going slow?

So I wondered about the possibility to pause downloads in the software store and continue with it later?

Is this from the Software Store? Currently there are issues with Ubuntu (Canonical) being attacked by DDoS from Iran:
