Permission issues with Virtual Machine Manager and NTFS3 disk

I have some odd permission issues when I use Virtual Machine Manager and want to select an Windows image (.iso file) which is on an external SSD in NTFS3 format:

# mount
/dev/sda2 on /media/office/Daten type ntfs3 (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,uid=1000,gid=1000,windows_names,iocharset=utf8,uhelper=udisks2)

I now tried it from an ext4 drive, same errors. The only way it works for me is by starting Virtual Machine Manager by sudo virt-manager.
