Welcome to Zorin OS, an OS for you, not a corporations unfettered greed. Please enjoy your stay. ![]()
Honestly, what I do is this. I finish installing the OS, and configure it to my liking, along with all the applications I want on the OS. Then I make a backup image of the whole thing (i.e., cloning the whole drive) using the "Disks" utility. If I ever run into a major problem that exceeds my current set of Linux skills, I simply revert to the original cloned image, and presto. Everything is back to where I want it to be. Simple and efficient. I've done this before for Linux Mint and Zorin OS.
P.S.: Good luck.
I use Redo Rescue or Rescuezilla for the same purpose, but strongly support the "make an image" practice of catastrophe reversal. It's also very handy when distro hopping.
