I stumbled across zorin and it looks very interesting! After a few tests on a vm I was wondering if it is possible to unselect software on initial installation like gimp / libreoffice and other stuff I don't need.

On pro edition, there's an option for minimal installation where it installs only the base system with zorin apps, and firefox.
