Read&Write Browser extension (by Texthelp, now Everway) is not popping up when using Brave on Zorin. It is a tool for dyslexic students who struggle with reading and writing.
I am currently using it on 2 different computers.
Pop OS, using Brave, it should look like this:
A toolbar that pops up at the top of the webpage, under the bookmarks bar.
Zorin OS, using Brave, looks like this:
You can tell it started it because it opens up a second window but the bar is not showing on the webpage.
Both Pop and Zorin are running using X11 and browser settings are identical.
The one that is working on Pop OS, Brave was installed via flatpak. The one that is not working on Zorin OS, Brave was installed via .deb (it came with the OS). Brave is the same version number 1.86.148 on both computers, but installed in different format. I installed via flatpak on Zorin OS and it did not fix it. Does the same thing by opening a new window.
Something is blocking it from popping up correctly and I can't figure out what. I've disabled internet filtering and ad blocking, which did not fix it. I've uninstalled the extension and reinstalled it and it didn't fix. All other browser extensions work normally in Brave on Zorin, just not this one. Seems like an operating system problem instead of a browser problem.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
