[Quality of Life] taskbar launcher button

  • a bug i found at the same time.

If you plug in to HDMI and change your output to that HDMI, once you unplug Zorin OS still things your connected to the HDMI sound output however it will remove the little arrow for you to change to the default sound output.

So i usually have to manually search SOUND to get to the sound settings,
however in that little launcher menu where you change sound outputs if the sound/speaker/volume icon was a little quick button to the sound settings (it would save a good bit of time) and also be a QOL feature equivlent to the windows experince of right clicking the volume icon and going "sound and settings"

Hi,
there seems to be a solution for that. Are you familiar with Gnome extensions?

And there is an extension that seems to do, what you are looking for.

Maybe worth a try?

This gnome extension is not officially supported in gnome 43.

That would really be a useful addition, DotWayton.
You could try this one:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:yktooo/ppa

sudo apt update

sudo apt install indicator-sound-switcher

To remove the sound switcher:

sudo apt remove indicator-sound-switcher
sudo apt-add-repository -r ppa:yktooo/ppa
sudo apt update

Epic thank you for the link  tried it out and it works for me
definitely something to note since Zorin is using GNOME 43, some newer extensions may not work backwards.
