A few years ago, I made a few websites using Google Sites, which was a really useful tool until it was discontinued.
Since then I've come into the world of Linux and FOSS, so I think there is probably something similar but way more "wholesome" than a lot of the offerings that come up at the top of a search. Of course, I'd like something that is free (money IS an issue at the moment) but that doesn't exploit my and users data, or force excessive adverts into everything.
I realise that I may be asking for too much, that nothing is really free and we end up paying one way or another... .... Having said that, now I'm aware of the big, wide world of FOSS, I have hope!
I'm looking for something simple, in every meaning of the word. Although I can follow instructions, I'm not technical. I also don't need "bells and whistles", just text, images and maybe short videos (e.g. PNG / Jpeg., MP4). Something that people can access from their Android, iOS, Linux and Windows devices, if possible.
Have you used something that you could recommend, or have knowledge of something suitable? I'd really appreciate learning about your experiences. Any links to suitable sites or YouTube videos would be gratefully received too. TIA
