I have been fixing up old computers and am always looking for the best choice for these systems. I installed Zorin OS Lite on an old Dell Precision that ran sluggish on most any OS. After installing, the computer ran better than it ever has!
Now to have something run perfectly and have the most premium desktop experience is a very rare thing. Resource use is great! Default applications are well thought out and I can't find a single thing wrong. Quality and attention to detail are unmatched in this edition.
It took days to finally download this edition, servers must really be busy. I hope maybe the Developer's reconsider continuing this edition. This brings new life to old hardware and makes it feel premium.

Do you have installed Zorin 18 Lite or Zorin 17 Lite? There hasn't been a single report of a successful installation of Zorin 18 Lite so far, which is why I'm interested.

I installed 18.1. Did have trouble booting the iso the first time bur it worked the second time I tried it.

I have managed to get 18.1 lite working on my workstation, I hadn't run into any install issues around that. That being said, after install I had a few errors I had to clean up, and haven't had time to make reports or see if anyone else ran into the same issues.

I had an issue with a boot error. it was hardware related and a fix was available online. The system ran fine, just wanted a clean looking boot experience. I ended up changing the default NVIDIA 580 driver for the 535 drivers. Just the normal things with any Ubuntu based distro.lol.
I have had Zorin OS Lite installed on a system to donate. It's still here because I have been enjoying this edition so much! This is by far the very best experience with Xfce I have ever had.
