Red Dead Redemption 2 (Steam)

Hello

The last few days i have been trying to run Red Dead Redemption 2, on Zorin 17
It runs fine, but after 5-10 min its getting extremley laggy and unresponsive, to a point where it lock up the computer, and have to hold the power button.

The computer is a Legion 5 with Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3060, and it runs fine under Windows, and earlier Garuda

Anyone have any ideas to what is wrong?

This sounds like a memory leak to me, although possibly could be something else entirely. If you can monitor what your system resources look like over the time before the system becomes unresponsive (through system monitor or something), that could possibly tell us if it's a memory leak.
Also, what proton version are you using? It's possible using a new one (or even sometimes an older one) can alleviate these issues.

Also, please post your terminal output for

nvidia-smi

Check your thermals:
You can install lm-sensors

sudo apt install lm-sensors

Scan:

sudo sensors detect

Report sensor output:

sensors

Monitor during game usage if your GPU or CPU temperatures are climbing too high.
