Red Dead Redemption 2

Windowed borderless will use a little less computer resources anyways, giving you a tad boost to performance.

I always try to run the GE Proton when possible.

And if you have an Nvidia GPU, its usually a good idea to run in Xorg/X11.

And also, you may wanna make sure, that your running the latest Nvidia proprietary driver.

Not Wayland (at least I don't think so). I've tried it under Linux and Xorg, though.

I've gone for a fresh reinstall of Steam (as that stopped working, too) and RDR2, so hopefully this time I get it right. I'm also using ChatGPT but the results are mixed. It can either be very good and helps out a lot, or it can be a total failure. It's definitely worth the effort though, and the overall impression is very good with using it.

Do you mean the HDR (if that's its correct name)?

I was certain I was replying directly to the posts above, oh well. "Not Wayland..." at Storm, "I've gone for a fresh...", at StarTreker, and "Do you mean...", at wesoliv429.

And thank you all for your help, by the way. Much appreciated.

And now it's working. Using Xorg, and a clean install of RDR2 and Steam. Not sure why it's done it this way but I'm not complaining.

THanks all for your help.
