I am running Zorin OS 18.1 on my more than capable laptop and when i use it on my monitor I cannot change the refresh rate to 60 Hz the only forced option is 29.98 Hz and I can't find a way to change it without lowering the resolution which is a worst case scenario.
Maybe vid card hdmi cable isnt correct for 4K 60hz? I hear not all hdmi cables are created equal
Welcome to the Forum!
Does Your Monitor support 60Hz at 4K Resolution? Can You name Brand and Model?
Its a HP U28 monitor and it does support 60Hz and 4K as i do that when i dual boot windows
Okay, I took a quick Look at the Monitor. Some Questions:
- How is the Monitor connected? HDMI or DisplayPort?
- Does Your System run in Wayland or X11? You can check that with the Terminal Command
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE - What Graphics Card do You have? If Nvidia: What Driver do You use?
- Are Secure Boot and Fast Boot in BIOS disabled?
