Reinstalled something now zorin can't connect to anything

Hey

I've been trying to get my Xbox controller working with xpadneo and been doing a lot of troubleshooting with that

I just saw to get it working I had to use

Sudo modprobe uhid && sudo modprobe hid-xpadneo

This errored with modprobe: FATAL: module uhid not found in directory /lib/modules/6.17.0.19-generic

So I reinstalled that after googling that error

After a restart it now connects to my keyboard and mouse and that's it. No WiFi, Bluetooth, the only options in the system tray is power mode, dark style and zorin connect. Even one of my monitors doesnt connect anymore

Have I done a bad lmao pls help, bonus points if the Xbox elite 2 controller works aswell haha

Does Ethernet works? Could You post the Output of the Commands rfkill list and sudo lshw -C network please? Did You tried it with starting in an older Kernel?

ive managed to stumble my way through to a solution. i think i somehow reinstalled the kernal. i had no access to the internet on the new kernal becuase it had no drivers and no way to get ethernet.

i went to an older kernal that could use wifi and reinstalled it and updated it from there to get that all working again.

also managed to get the controller working, i had to enroll MOK after getting that done it works as expected!

thanks for your reply anyway!

There was a recent upgrade to the Linux Kernel from Zorin OS, so you may have just gotten that kernel and when you rebooted, that activated it.
