Resolution Issue

Hi, I use the free version of zorin in a oracle virtualbox machine and after I updated I no longer have the option for my default resolution which is 2560x1440. In the display settings there is no longer an option to change it to this-it changed to 1200x800 after the updates when I started the machine up this morning. Any help appreciated

Welcome to the Forum!

You wrote that You use Zorin in Virtualbox. So, is this in Windows, Mac or another Linux distro?
You wrote that You have updated. what have You updated? Zorin? The Virtual Machine? Your OS? And what Updates were it?

I am using windows 11 and there were updates to zorin that I downloaded and installed yesterday. After I did so I have lost my original resolution and there is no option to change it to that resolution anymore. I have the latest virtualbox version as well. I only have a choice of 2560x1600 instead of what I used to have which was 2560x1440

I don't understand that right. How You get in Win11 Updates for Zorin? What were that for Updates?

I mean there were updates for the zorin os and I downloaded them and updated it-not windows 11. This issue is occuring in the zorin os virtual machine. I misunderstood your question. I use the oracle virtualbox software to run zorin from windows 11.

back to ubuntu I guess. sigh.

Did you checked if maybe from the Virtual Machine something changed for the Display Settings? I don't use VM's but as far as I know You can set up there the Resolution's, too.

Yes and none of my display settings in the virtual machine changed. The updates for the zorin os must be the issue imho. I will be using another distro instead. Thanks anyways
