Resume from suspend gives black screen with cursor (NVidia 545.29.06.0)

I had to upgrade NVidia proprietary driver to 545.29.06.0 in order to play Ghost Of Tsushima Director'S Cut. Now I can't use suspend anymore, cause on resume I get black screen and mouse cursor. Only tty works.
NVidia forum confirms it's known bug? in that driver version:

They suggest upgrading driver to never version, and in repos there is none.

After searching the forum I found no solution for resume from suspend: Screen goes blank after resuming from suspend

Finally, my question is: would knowledgeable forum members recommend (or not) adding this PPA and updating driver from it?

Does this only happen when it goes into automatic sleep?
Does putting it to sleep manually also happen?

I ask because this happened to me, but only in automatic suspension.

After some research I discovered that it could be something related to the external monitor, which was turned off before going to sleep and then couldn't come back on.

What I did was configure the monitor not to turn off before going to sleep. In the energy schemes it is possible to make this change.

After making this change this never happened again.

I have an NVIDIA card with driver 535.183.01

I have been using that PPA along with 550 and later 555 Nvidia drivers without any trouble.
The PPA is solid.
