Your personal political leanings do not change the Historical Record nor the result of it.
It is only Moot if we are claiming that congress will act against MS due to a Monopoly.
We have not claimed such.
Rather, it shows that an act of congress can bust any large company up (for whatever reason they want to use).
And currently, with tech progressing in interesting ways, governments are drooling over how to regulate it. This increases the likelihood of "acts of Congress."
In Europe, this can already be observed being taken into action.
You can bet your bottom dollar the U.S. government is not going to touch MS. The pressure that MS exerts to the "enemies" of the U.S. would never be undone by the government. European governments would not have enough sway to do anything as can be seen right now with the MS purchase of Activision (Curious to see if the CMA is going to continue fighting or not now that they have all but lost)
But anyway I think we have said all we can on this subject.

Ive just got to say that would be terrible it would stifle creativity and technological advances that save lives everyday as well as make all of our lives easier. You have a good day as well.
The above website is an excellent read on Bell Telephone Co. or Ma Bell as it was known ..... later it became AT&T ..... which was broken up by the US government in 1984 due to it's huge size and the fact it controlled almost all the telephone service in the US and many other parts of the world ......
Something that maybe needed with MS but will never happen due to the huge amount of grease applied to all the right places ..... (IMHO)
I would love to see the figures of AT&T at it's height as compared to today's prices ....
I'm not one by birth but I have been living like one for the past 15 years in Asia ...... and I agree to a point ..... but at least the phenomenons that are sweeping across the US now aren't reaching me here ... TG .....
