Screen Edge resizing works bad with stacked monitors

Hello,
I am having a little trouble with the Screen Edge resizing. I deactivated Screen Edges in Zorin Appearance and activated Active Screen Edges in Settings. It snaps way faster like I am used to from windows. The problem is that I have two monitors stacked and for the top edge of the bottom monitor it's literally one pixel to resize, otherwise it's too far away or already on the second screen.

Is there a way to either increase the distance I can be from the screen edge for resizing OR to make the Zorin Appearance version snap instantly? I didn't see a setting for delay there, otherwise I would absolutely use it, especially with the other customization options.

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the Forum!

When You activate it in Zorin Appearance, You have a Gear Icon beside the Toggle. Click on it to open the Settings. There You have ''Appearance'':

and You have Screen Edges:

did You tried it with these Options?

Thank you for your reply!

Yes I've tried that, the problem is that I don't like the Zorin Appearance one because it doesn't have that instant response, I would need to hold the window there for a short while, but it has options to make the activation area bigger which in turn I am missing with the Active Screen Edges in Settings.

Is there any way to configure the Active Screen Edges within the Settings menu or make the Zorin Appearance Screen Edges instantly responsive?

It's really just a small detail and doesn't affect me in a big way so if it's not possible that's fine. I am just so used to it from Windows that I wanted to at least ask.

This is Gnome behavior where it requires the cursor to contact the exact screen boundary edge. Windows OS has a buffer zone using heuristics; Gnome does not. It treats it as a hard edge - and so you get one pixel to hit the spot.
Gnome extensions can soften this as you noted - but that delay is there to prevent accidental triggers. It is hard coded into the extension, so you cannot change that delay from any settings.

But the POP Shell Tiling extension, at least from what I hear, more aggressively overrides Gnome - Have you tried it? Or Material shell tiling?

You se on my first Picture ''Animationen''. There You can set up Timings when You make that shorter it might respond faster.

It's not about the animation, but how fast a resize gets triggered, but I just realized I'm stupid and I can double click applications to fullscreen them. I always dragged them so I forgot it even exists. I still need to adapt to it a little but the way it is now it works for my top screen where I use it the most and I don't want to install another tile manager for this little issue.

Thank you guys for your replies, sorry to take up your time like this.
