Screen orientation lock

Hi peeps.

Im new to zorin but not at all to linux.
Im one of those people who dont use the device to store anything, instead i use samba on internal network only for all my devices (too many to count, north of 15). I was surprised to see samba is not preinstalled. Also, i am using a tablet with n100 chip which for some f'up reason has default orientation sidways... I walk around with it a lot in the office and would like to lock orientation. How to achieve? Also weird: during install, only mouse showed up and blank screen behind it. Safe mode was successful though, so i passed this one. So far, after using mint, ubuntu, fedora, arch, on this specific device, i have to say, im impressed with zorin. Im not on the arch camp even though i am using it on another device for different reasons. I have my home server on ubuntu server 20, and two phones, one with ubports and one with iode. Also several raspberry pies including one as router for home network (no internet access) so far, linux has not been easy (coming close to 20 years) but well worth it. Educational, inspiring, and i truely gained much respect to the community who has no business contributing so much for free. So i donate to each app i really use a lot. And some sites like archive and others... This is a long letter to ask for screen orientation lock. So thank you for your time.

Did You checked in Settings>Displays if there is a Screen Rotation Option?

Alternatively, maybe a Gnome Extension could help. Look in Gnome Software for Extension Manager and install it:

Some Gnome Extensions, You could try:

Look for them in the Extension Manager on the ''Browse'' Tab and install them - but only one at a Time. Test them to see if one suits Your Needs.

Thanks for the reply, but maybe i didn't explain my issue well enough, it doesnt matter what orientation i set it to, once i connect external monitor it ignores my setting and goes to default. which is portrait and not landscape.

Then maybe try one of the Gnome Extensions. They could change that. At least, it should be worth a try.
