Seems like there is an update every two days, sometimes every day for the last few weeks. I'm not even on the current release, but 17.3. Add to that that all of Zorin is still on the old kernel and Ubuntu 24.04. It seemed before updates were once or twice a week in frequency.
Is this because of all the AI discovered bugs in the kernel that I read about or something else?
Zorin is normaly behind on the newest kernel for stability(mostly) some updates come directly from cononical(ubuntu) others from the OS its self. its normal to get lot in a week then go dry for seceral days or so with nothing ..THIS IS THE WAY... 
I wouldn't bring a Connection to this. Sometimes there are more Updates and sometimes are less. It depends on used Software, Security Situation, Hardware etc.
