I updated Zorin to the latest version today. And the screen is now flashing green and purple
Recommend that you reboot, enter the grub menu, then roll back to the Previous kernel.
This is done by choosing Advanced Options for Zorin and selecting Zorin on 5.15.0-83 or whichever kernel version it is.
A bit of tinkering and I managed to get it working properly. Seems to be an issue with an update. The xdg-desktop-portal app did not get updated for some reason after the most recent update.
Solution: type
sudo apt reinstall xdg-desktop-portal
Into the terminal to reinstall the app and get the necessary dependencys
