I ´d like to set MenuLibre as default app for editing the zorin start menu in Zorin 18.1. Core because it includes a search function to faster find apps. Is is possible to make a right-click on start menu icon > edit menu to open MenuLibre instead of alacarte (main menu)?
Now I found the file. I'll try to change the command there to menulibre.
Edit: It worked!! I replaced 'alacarte' with '/usr/bin/menulibre' in the line 189.

For all those users like me who search and search and search...I opened all files of the extension and took a look there. The widgets were the last ones I opened to search for 'alacarte'.
It would have been much faster with Nemo's content search. Unfortunately, I've only just discovered it. Nautilus doesn't offer the ability to search file contents for .js files by default, but Nemo does.

Today I undid the setting. That’s because I noticed that apps which I’d installed were creating duplicate entries in the Start menu. For example, I suddenly had two “Accessories” categories and two “Utilities” categories, each containing only one of the new apps. I don’t know why the apps are no longer classified under the existing category entries.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t make any sense for me. Otherwise, the Start menu is a total mess and looks cluttered.
Then I use MenuLibre only as separate app.
I'll keep an eye on this. Maybe it only happened with the apps where I edited the launchers using Menu Libre. It's possible that the categories were duplicated when I saved the launchers.
