Several problems after todays update

After running software update today I ran into several issues on 17.3 pro

  1. BottomtTaskbar is not visible anymore. Taskbar was fixed. Only when I switch workspace the taskbar is visible.
  2. I am not able to change the layout. Only top taskbar from layout Mac is visible. Choosing other layouts is not working.
  3. I have gnome extensions app installed. Changing extentions is not working.

I use Zorin OS for some years now. Started with 15.1. This is the first time I have an major issue after running software update.

Any help will be appreciated

Timeshift, by any chance?

I did restore a backup from this morning, but issue was the same. So layout config was not part of the backup it seems.

After a restore from a week old backup the same desktop bottom taskbar was not visible. However I was able to change the layout to MacOS again. So it seems to work. Later today I will try a new update run.

i have had this problem in past with themes losing lower/top dash i just changed to a lower/higher vid driver and found one that solved the trouble

After te restore from an week old backup and run de update again. All is well now. Very strange.

The confetti of 0's and 1's fell in the right places this time.
Also isn't it Halloween ? Things go bump in the night etc.
