Most Linux distros tend to only install whats needed for the OS to run snappy and clean... hence why there is a software store and gnome features that are available to install..this helps keep process's low ...so allowing the user to install what they need vs just installing stuff that most wont want then complain that they have to remove it..... ![]()
If you miss the battery remaining time, you can install one of the gnome extensions which offer this function:
I admit: Showing battery remaining as default seems to be the most sensible to me. I cannot imagine that process takes up anything in resources to make an argument it should be off by default.
