Here is my Falcon Talon... My wife got it for me (allowed me to buy) for birthday last year. ![]()
Lovely computer, Falcon have been making those towers, for a long time now, and are quite popular in the gaming scene. My only issue is with how expensive they are, typically they are like 4K to 6K machines. Just keep that desktop clean with canned air twice a year, clean the window every month, and it should be good.
Good thing you got it when you did too, I'm hearing these days, its like the pandemic tech shortage all over again. Good luck getting GPU's and RAM, with AI consuming it like food!
I actually got my MSI Raider gaming notebook in 2021, it lights up too, as do all MSI gaming machines.
Guess what? Despite my computer being 4-years old now, with Bethesda's high system requirements, I can still play the latest Doom The Dark Ages in 4K, with DLSS on, with most all graphics settings maxed out. It proves ya don't need a new computer every 3 to 5 years. Just buy a high end computer from the start, and ya should have a solid 8 to 10 year relevant lifecycle.
@Hanselinux Great choice using Noctua fan for CPU.
Whilst all these lightboxes look pretty I would find myself distracted from looking at the screen. My mobo has LEDs but I turn them off in the BIOS, and besides, not much point as my case is this:
Hehe... Nice looking little laptop you got there... Yeah, I'm a Win 11 Refugee... New to Linux and learning... Of all the distributions out there, Zorin seemed like the best fit... So far I got Steam installed playing Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3... That worked great out of the box... Even installing Star Citizen was a breeze using a great tool created by the SC Community called SC Lug-Helper... Although I had to jump through a few minor hoops to get my Rudder Pedels working (Flight stick & Throttle worked out of the box without much tweaking)... Loving Linux so far... Have not booted into Windows for almost a week now! Thanks for your encouragment ![]()
Asus ROG Strix B550-F motherboard
Ryzen 9 5900x 12 core processor Watercooled
32GB of 3200MHZ memory
Gforce RTX 3050 vid card
Zorin 18 PRO
Corsair 750 Watt Power Suppy
LG Blu-Ray burner
Samsung 32 Inch curved Monitor(not shown)
Nice colours but liquid cooling is too risky for my liking.
Updated: removed the rtx 3050 and replaced it with the rx 6600 XT with red devil kit
going to flip water fans around hose is touching the vid card not alot but rather not have it touching it at all
Your right, that is way better! Achievement unlocked: Form & Function!
You know what would make it even better still? How about UV reflective zip-ties?
Ooooo Aaahhh
Let the light of lights, illuminate your soul, to deliver you from boredom, to infuse your eyes with lovely photons.

Those cable ties would be great if multi-coloured ... you could save some power and turn off L.E.D.s! ![]()
