The Xfdashboard reads like some kind of activity overview. Thank you for the interesting tipp!
I'll try it in the next days.
I'm not quite sure how it can be installed.
I found sudo apt install xfdashboard xfdashboard-plugins on wiki.ubuntuusers.de, but there is not said for which ubuntu version this command is.
Here are a few files but no .deb:
Which one is the right one?
Is also this command needed to install all dependencies
This is just a plugin for the zorin-appgrid-lite package in AUR.
This is not an Official Zorin OS package - it is a user created package for Arch Distros that emulates some of the Zorin OS look and feel.
I stand corrected:
This is present in Zorin OS 17 - I am probably finding so little about it because Zorin OS 18 Lite has not been released yet. I punch myself in the face.
On Zorin OS 17:
Appgrid-lite https://launchpad.net/~zorinos/+archive/ubuntu/stable/+files/zorin-appgrid-lite_1.0.2-1_amd64.deb
I cannot find much about either of these packages. They may work fine, but without knowing what they depend on - I cannot recommend them without testing them.
It is in the Noble repos, accessible on Zorin OS 18:
apt search xfdashboard ─╯

I installed the xfce4-zorinappgridlite-plugin via synaptic. Synaptic also installed zorin-appgrid-lite.
Then I added the plugin to the taskbar. It is shown as 9 dots icon like in Zorin core. I hadn´t known that something like this exists for Zorin lite.
I had no idea about zorin-appgrid-lite, as well.
I did know about xfdashboard - but it was not something I enjoyed. I had it installed for a while but it seems to add complexity, needlessly.
It does not have hot corner by default, so what you are hitting is a 1x1 px square, lol... I imagine that is tricky alright.
Try
sudo apt install xfce4-hotcorner-plugin
From its properties, you should be able to set the area.
Right-click on your panel, then select panel > add new item and in the list search for xfce4-zorinappgridlite-plugin, click on it and and then on add.
Afterwards you can move it on the panel to another position by rightclicking on the icon and select "move" to drag and drop it.
